Brian McDowell is a former newspaper reporter and public relations professional who is in his 18th year as assistant professor in the Journalism Department at Morrisville State College in central New York State. Since 1999, he has photographed more than 20 weddings of former students, friends, and family. He is a great believer in the importance of the relationship between photographer and subject. He prefers natural light and minimal post-production, and feels that the best pictures often are the ones no one saw him take.
